Eplep.ai ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Photo Respot mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Data You Provide

• Photos and images: Photos you take within the app to document places over time. Photos are stored in your device's photo library and optionally synced via iCloud.
• Audio recordings: Sound recordings you create at spots. Stored locally and optionally synced via iCloud.
• Location data: GPS coordinates, heading, and orientation when you create a spot or take a photo. Used to guide you back to the exact same position.
• Spot metadata: Names, categories, and reminder preferences you assign to your spots.

Automatically Collected Data

• Device type and operating system version
• App usage statistics (anonymized)
• Crash reports and performance data

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information unless you contact us directly
• We do not share your location data with third parties
• We do not access your contacts or other personal files
• We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data

How We Use Your Data

• To provide AR ghost overlay positioning and guide you back to photo spots
• To store and organize your spots, photos, and sound recordings
• To send you reminders when it's time to revisit a spot
• To perform on-device AI change detection between your photos (all processing happens on your device)
• To sync your data across your devices via iCloud
• To fix bugs and improve performance

On-Device Processing

Photo Respot uses on-device machine learning (Apple Vision and Core ML) to analyze changes between your photos. This processing happens entirely on your device — your photos are never sent to our servers or any third-party service for analysis.

Data Storage

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your app data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is:

• Encrypted by Apple
• Only accessible by you
• Synced across your devices
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Local Storage

If you do not use iCloud sync, all data is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

• App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
• iCloud: For data synchronization (if enabled)
• StoreKit: For subscription management

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• In-app: Delete individual spots, photos, or sound recordings
• iCloud: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Photo Respot → Delete Data
• Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data

Children's Privacy

Photo Respot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Effective Date" above.
