Terms of Service for Pantry Pal

Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pantry Pal ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Pantry Pal is a food inventory management application that helps you:

• Track items in your fridge, freezer, and pantry
• Receive expiration notifications
• Get recipe suggestions based on your inventory
• Manage shopping lists

Account and Data

No Account Required

Pantry Pal does not require you to create an account. Your data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• Backing up your data
• Any activity that occurs through your use of the App

Subscriptions and Payments

Free Features

The free version of Pantry Pal includes:

• Up to 50 pantry items
• Basic recipe suggestions
• Standard categories
• Full scanning and notification features

Premium Subscription

Premium features include:

• Unlimited pantry items
• AI-powered recipe suggestions (coming soon)
• Custom categories
• Priority support

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account
• Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Transmit viruses or malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use the App to store inappropriate or illegal content
• Redistribute or resell the App

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

Pantry Pal, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Eplep.ai and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights

You retain ownership of any content you create within the App, including item names, photos, and notes. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the App's functionality.

Open Data

Open Food Facts data is used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

Disclaimers

"As Is" Service

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Expiration date estimates will be accurate
• Recipe suggestions will meet your dietary needs
• Barcode or receipt scanning will always work correctly

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EPLEP.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

We shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Any damages arising from food spoilage or foodborne illness
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eplep.ai from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Termination

By You

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Use the "Delete Account" feature in the app to remove all data including iCloud sync data.

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Norwegian law, except where prohibited by law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Eplep.ai regarding the App.
