What is Pantry Pal?
Pantry Pal is a smart pantry management app that helps you track what's in your fridge, freezer and pantry. It uses barcode scanning, receipt scanning and photo recognition to make inventory management effortless, and sends alerts before items expire.
How do I add items?
You can add items four ways: scan a barcode for automatic product lookup, photograph a grocery receipt to add multiple items at once, take a photo of individual items, or enter items manually.
How does expiration tracking work?
Pantry Pal estimates expiration dates based on item type and storage location. You'll get a notification 3 days before and on the day an item expires. Items are color-coded green (fresh), yellow (use soon) and red (expiring).
What is Empty Freezer mode?
Empty Freezer mode helps you quickly register everything in your freezer and get recipe suggestions to use those items up. It's perfect for clearing out forgotten items and avoiding freezer burn.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored locally on your device and syncs across your devices via iCloud. Receipt and item photos are processed on-device — no food data is sent to external servers.
What does Premium include?
The free version supports up to 50 items. Premium unlocks unlimited items and AI-powered recipe suggestions with custom categories — ideal for households with larger pantries.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Pantry Pal, go to your profile and tap "Restore Purchases" on the premium screen.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, find Pantry Pal, and select Cancel Subscription.
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling the app removes all local data from your device. If you use iCloud sync, you can delete data from iCloud via Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
