Introduction

Eplep.ai ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Horizons mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Data You Provide

• Dreams, goals, and personal reflections you create in the app
• Experiences, memories, and ratings you log
• Time capsule messages you write to your future self
• Photos you attach to lived experiences (stored as references to your photo library)
• Categories and tags you assign to your entries

Automatically Collected Data

• Device type and operating system version
• App usage statistics (anonymized)
• Crash reports and performance data

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or contact information unless you contact us directly
• We do not track your location
• We do not access your contacts
• We do not read your photos — you explicitly select which photos to attach
• We do not send any of your personal content to external servers

On-Device AI Processing

Horizons uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to generate micro-actions from your dreams and provide personalized insights. All AI processing happens entirely on your device. Your personal data is never sent to external AI services or servers.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the app functionality
• To generate personalized insights about your experience patterns (on-device only)
• To fix bugs and improve performance
• To understand how users interact with the app (anonymized analytics only)

Data Storage

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your app data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is:

• Encrypted by Apple
• Only accessible by you
• Synced across your devices
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Local Storage

If you do not use iCloud sync, all data is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

• App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
• iCloud: For data synchronization (if enabled)
• StoreKit: For subscription management

We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Retention

• Local data: Retained until you delete the app or clear app data
• iCloud data: Retained until you delete it or remove the app from iCloud

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• In-app: Delete individual items or all data from Settings
• iCloud: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Horizons → Delete Data
• Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all local data

Children's Privacy

Horizons is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Effective Date" above.
