Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Photo Respot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Photo Respot is a mobile application developed by Eplep.ai. Document how places change over time with AR-guided rephotography, interactive timeline slider, and sound layers. Your phone remembers where you stood and guides you back to the exact same position with a transparent overlay. On-device AI automatically highlights what has changed between your photos. Drag the timeline slider to seamlessly blend between past and present, and record audio at each spot to capture how it sounds over time. Smart reminders alert you when it is time to revisit your spots to capture seasonal changes. Drop a photo for others to discover when they walk by — or seal it as a Time Capsule that unlocks at a future date.

Account and Data

No Account Required

Photo Respot does not require you to create an account. Your data is stored locally on your device.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device
• Backing up your data
• Any activity that occurs through your use of the App

Subscriptions and Payments

Payment is processed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Transmit viruses or malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

Discover Drops community rules

Photo Respot includes an optional shared feature called Discover Drops, where you can publish photo drops other users can see nearby. By publishing a drop, you agree:

• You have the right to share the photo (you took it yourself or have consent from the rights holder).
• The photo contains no nudity, harassment, hate speech, violence, or illegal content.
• The photo contains no personal data of others without consent (faces, license plates, address details, and so on).
• You do not falsely attribute the location or attempt to manipulate other users.

Reporting and automatic hiding. Other users can report drops via the in-app menu using the categories Spam, Inappropriate, Fake location, and Other. Drops that receive three or more reports are automatically hidden from everyone until we review them manually. We reserve the right to remove drops or block users who violate these rules without prior notice.

Blocking. Users can block other creators they do not wish to see drops from. Blocking is one-way and visible only on the blocker's device.

No profile building. Photo Respot does not build public user profiles. Drops can only be linked to an anonymous internal identifier — there is no way for others to view your history or an aggregated profile.

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

Photo Respot, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Eplep.ai and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights

You retain ownership of any content you create within the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the App's functionality.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EPLEP.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway.
